Hotel Kriola

Doesn't really reflect the photos you see on the website. Unkempt room. Poor breakfast. Dirty pool. Very, very noisy hotel. The only good thing: the restaurant and the location. I won't be going back. I know the owners will respond by denying it, as they have done in other realistic reviews. So, above all, don't waste time and energy on this and improve your hotel so that it matches what guests book.

Very top hotel, the chef's food is amazing, I can't even dream of good things. Reception, treatment, service are some of the best in São Tomé and Príncipe. Wonderful rooms, swimming pool to enjoy the country's heat, hotel is close to the airport. I loved it.

Very mixed opinion. You have to take into account that this is Sao Tome and that the standards have nothing to do with Europe. I will try to give the most accurate opinion possible. My disappointment is that the photos are absolutely not true to reality. The rooms are not maintained (plumbing, windows, etc.), but you have to understand that tools and materials are difficult to obtain on this undeveloped island. Sometimes there is no more water and the toilets do not always work. On the other hand, the rooms are clean. The pool is unusable in my opinion because it is completely opaque with crabs. The managers and all their families live in the hotel and swim there daily. The hotel is therefore quite noisy because the pool is located in the center of the rooms and the owners' children swim there from 7:30 a.m. The hotel staff is quite nice apart from the unpleasant owner (Portuguese) who spoils the atmosphere and looks down on the few tourists who are present. She doesn't even say hello or goodbye to her guests. So, we won't be returning to this hotel. The boss is great and very accommodating. Breakfast is also with the owners' family and there, you don't get the good things like them. For the guests, it's a low-quality light breakfast. 5-star rating for the restaurant and its manager. You eat there for cheap and with exceptional quality. The octopus is the best on the island ❤️. Bravo! In conclusion, for a decent hotel, move on and if it's to live an experience as close as possible to the locals but without comfort, this is the one for you. Beware of all the very positive fake reviews on this hotel.

Venho agradecer a toda equipa do hotel Kriola,pelo carinho, durante a minha estadia, e gostei imenso, sinceramente é um espetáculo

Hotel sencillo, situado frente al mar, a unos 10 minutos en coche al aeropuerto, con una relación calidad precio extraordinaria, limpio y con una atención al cliente sobresaliente. Las habitaciones son amplias, todas tienen aire acondicionado y nevera. El desayuno ofrece un pequeño pero variado bufet a base de frutas, pan, algo de embutido, yogourt, zumo, dulce de papaya, café y té … entre otras cosas. La cocina es buena, con una carta variada para comer o cenar a un precio muy asequible ( unos 14-15 €/px con bebida) y de una calidad bárbara; Todo cocinado sobre la marcha con productos frescos del día; la verdad que nos encantó. El servicio es algo lento pero hay q entender que estamos en África y que todo lo preparan al momento de pedirlo. Nuestro vuelo salía a las 19:40 y nos dejaron usar la habitación hasta el momento de irnos. Sin horario para el check out! Previa solicitud, mediante mensaje a través de la app, nos recogieron en el aeropuerto el día de la llegada (10€ /vehiculo). Gracias a eso conocimos a Lau, un chico extraordinario, guía certificado que habla español y que convirtió nuestro viaje en una de las mejores experiencias. Si viajas a Sao Tomé, vayas al hotel que vayas, pregunta por él, (le conocen en todas partes) porque no te arrepentirás si lo contratas de guía. Resumiendo: este hotel es una magnifica opción.
